Write nights again (turns out writing is fun)

So I thought I’d be all sorted and that but well aye naw ADHD got plans (cool gonna tell me mate).

Anyway that first write nights session I wrote and spoke offt that was scary but honestly what a super lovely bunch of folk to talk to and reassure me I guess that actually my writing was not guff.

However that first night after hearing everyone’s writing it got me thinking more as we’d had a few odd things crop up namely teeth and gravy. So my wee mind went into overdrive not only did I then go oh well here’s a wee story but I then got in 3D and made a wee model (I never made the teeth they came from a free model) but I did make the rest. It’s not like world class but at that time it represents just what was going through my head of the Vegetarian monster with teeth for feet, hair and arms but not eating.

Anyway heres the wee story and some images of my monster as well, enjoy.

It was a normal boring Sunday just the usual Sunday so it meant a roast dinner of some sort with gravy from a tub and hot water as she never had the same skills as her brother to make one from scratch – well not the skills maybe just not the patience plus with a pescatarian in the house no point anyway so veggie gravy it was.  Anyway, on this fateful Sunday the veggie gravy was made however just before dinner was served emergency alarms were going off on phones and sirens from the local gasworks were going off. This was real and we did what we could and got in the car and drove in the opposite direction of the gasworks, why we thought we could outrun it who knows but what was the alternative.

One year later well most of Glasgow was gone due to the explosion however with the radiation and gas weird things had been happening. Remember the gravy? It was left and congealed but then started to develop movement and some features before long it had eyes and a lot of teeth – but not teeth in the mouth situation no, teeth for arms and legs and hair.

It slowly took shape think Pyrex jug shaped with some chompers for arms and legs and was getting stronger and bigger every day.

But what did it want? Because it couldn’t be poured anymore so what was it looking for? The gravy roamed the streets until it found an allotment and tried to eat some of the veg growing but despite all the teeth nothing was working. It was despondent until it had a thought wait maybe I’m not meant to eat them maybe I’m meant to be eaten with them.  Gravy decided after a lot of thought OK it’s time for me to be the bigger person here and hit the self-destruct button, boof, exploding all over the carrots, sprouts and broccoli. The locals were grateful for the bounty not realising the sacrifice that gravy had made for them.
